August, 2013

   August was a full month, but super fun, being with our whole family!!!!!  Scott returned from his summer in Glorieta, NM, working a Centra Fuge camp. We, then, drove to Branson, MO. for some leisure time in a cabin. Brian & Brenda took in a show at Sights & Sound Theater, seeing "Joseph".  Truly amazing! We took a private tour at the "Promise Land Zoo" and fed wild animals! 
   Next we drove north to Kansas City, MO, to be with Joshua & Emily!  We had a picnic at a beautiful park, took in a Royal's baseball game, and spent several hours in Prayer Room at the International House of Prayer.
  Our next leg of the trip, all of us, (two cars) drove to Van Wert, Ohio, for a really big celebration. We had a great time seeing extended family as we had a 90th birthday party for Brenda's dad.  Finally, we said tearful good-byes to Em & Joshua and all the relatives, and drove back to Birmingham. Scott return to TX, to his job at the boarding school and the younger three began classes at UAB. Thankfully they are living at home!!!!

We celebrated the twins 18th birthday and also took them on their Senior Trip. Their choice was Atlanta, Ga for a Braves' baseball game, visit to the Zoo and Stone Mt., GA.

May 2013

May was a month of endings. Sarah finished her many years of piano lessons with our wonderful Mrs. Wingard. Jesse ended his baseball career with Hope Christian School baseball team. The twins graduated from high school. Brenda ended 22 years of home schooling.
