October
Scott is modeling a brown tux for us and drinking Dr. Pepper. Acutally he was an usher for a friend's wedding at our church. Mr. Paul Jarvis, who helped perform the ceremony, Daniel Lloyd and Scott are toasting their Dr. Peppers. But we did get Scott to take off the coat and pose for us! Of course, we needed to take a shot of all the kids dressed-up because that so rarely happens. We have Hannah, Emily, Scott, Jesse, and Sarah.

September
Scott and Jesse roofed our shed and did a great job for not ever having done
such work. It was a good experience and they learned a lot. PopPop would
have enjoyed watching them! Jesse got a little crazy
with his hammer!(2nd picture)
Emily celebrated her 22nd birthday! Rainboots for all those wet days, that
we're not having right now.
Jesse is playing fall ball with his travel team, The Birmingham Rangers. He catches, plays
short-stop, first base and third base --- does it all! He's also hitting well.
His team won a trophy after being undefeated in a tournament.
(four games all on one day) Jesse is on the far right in the team picture.
And lastly, our lovely Sarah just before she got a few inches of hair cut off.
August trip
In late July we headed north to Kentucky and visited the famous Churchhill Downs.
Then we drove on to Ohio and took in a Cincinnati Reds game against the Atlanta Braves.
Unfortunately the Braves lost. We did take in another game in Columbus that included two of
our UAB players. Then we ended in Van Wert. Brian & PopPop enjoyed the beautiful weather
and such green garden. Next is Beth playing with her grandsons, Keston & Caleb. Next Gram
held a bread-making class for her Alabama grandchildren. They loved it and the result was delicious
golden loaves of bread. Julie & baby Eli. The playdough faces are Hannah, Emily, Caleb and Sarah.
The girls love their cousins: Hannah & Keston, Sarah & Caleb, Emily & Eli.
We ended our trip by celebrating PopPop's 87th birthday a little early with an ice cream cake!
We had a great time.
